"Sorry, but I can't let you in!"
Constantine glanced at the crow, put away the walkie-talkie, tossed the crow's corpse into the trash can beneath the sink, and spoke as he washed his hands.
Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!
Outside the window, the crow's impacts grew faster and louder.
"What, you want to avenge your little buddy? Then you've got the wrong guy. I'm not the murderer who killed this crow."
Cold water splashed over his face. Constantine washed up and said it casually.
Then, by his right ear, even more rapid impacts rang out.
Frowning, Constantine finally turned his head. A dozen or two black crows were flapping their wings and cawing, slamming their heads frantically against the window glass.
Thud-thud-thud-thud.
The window glass kept shaking, dust falling from it. Amid fine cracking sounds, several thick fractures appeared across it.
"All right, pal. Using crows as your vanguard—I have to admit, you're pretty creative!"
After offering that praise, Constantine spun around neatly and quickly ran for the bathroom door.
Crash—
The window behind him suddenly shattered. Mixed with sheets of rain, a flock of crows surged toward him like a black torrent.
Caw! Caw! Caw.
They beat their broad wings, their beaks and sharp claws flashing coldly in the air as they flew in densely, howling in with death.
Only when a raging flame swallowed everything did Constantine's disdain echo through the room.
"Complete trash. Next time, remember to send something with a little more power!"
The next instant, a vast flock of crows that blotted out the sky came pouring in through the window.
"Ohhh shit!"
Following his instincts, Constantine turned, slammed the bathroom's wooden door shut, and ran for his life.
He kind of... missed Deadpool.
