Boom!
A bolt of lightning split down and set a dead tree ablaze.
Screech—
The car swerved sharply. Grant drove while shouting, tearing madly toward the pier.
"Constantine, since we're going to Cauldron Lake, why don't we just get out here?!"
Since it was called a lakeside villa, the area it was in was naturally on the shore of Cauldron Lake.

Bang!
With a wail, a stag, blood streaming from its body, toppled crookedly to the ground. It had been hit by the car.
But compared with its injuries, the glare of the headlights seemed to distress it even more. It struggled to avoid the light, looking utterly terrified.
Bang!
"These are all captives being controlled by the darkness. Don't hesitate—go around it!"
Constantine finished the stag with one shot and shouted the reminder.
Everyone quickly snapped back to their senses. The agents in the back seat stuck their pistols out the windows, while Grant drove around the stag's corpse. After they had gone a little farther, Grant finally couldn't help cursing.
"Fuck! Why are there so many deer?!"
