Standing in front of the door to Tony Stark's private laboratory, Pepper held Anya and turned slightly, looking back at Tony behind her.
"I'm sorry. I must have done a lot of things that made you unhappy before."
He was not wearing a suit, but a casual T-shirt. A trace of apology flashed through Tony's eyes. As the good side that had been separated out, his tone was as gentle as could be.

Waving the little pink trumpet, Anya tried hard to stretch out her hand, offering it to him.
Tony lightly tapped his daughter's nose, took the little trumpet in his hand, and solemnly placed it against his chest.
"Anya, you're Daddy's best treasure."
He bent down and left a gentle kiss on Anya's forehead.
Then he stuffed half of the talisman into her hand and smiled.
