Rising from his chair, President Mobutu put away the chill in his eyes and warmly extended a hand toward T'Chaka as he entered the room.
Several accompanying guards blocked a few people who tried to approach. T'Chaka wore a gentle smile as he shook the man's hand, then the two took seats at opposite ends of the table.
The room was extravagantly decorated. A huge, dazzling chandelier hung from the ceiling, a costly red carpet covered the floor, and the wood used for the tables and chairs was not necessarily the best, only the most expensive, displaying the taste of the room's owner.
"President Mobutu, I hope that this time, both sides can achieve the outcome we want."
T'Chaka's tone was very serious. He had come with goodwill, hoping to return with peace.
"Hahaha, king of Wakanda, you certainly won't be 'disappointed'!"
With a loud laugh, Mobutu clapped his hands. A handsome black-haired young man stepped forward to the middle of the table and placed two documents on it, then gave a slight bow.
