Frank Castle walked quietly down the road. He had just come out of New York City Central Hospital.
As a member of the Defenders, Luke Cage had suffered severe burns in the battle against the Zero-Tails and needed long-term treatment in the hospital. From time to time, Frank would visit him as a friend.

A drug-related deal was going on in the alley. When several dyed-haired thugs saw Frank come in, they immediately surrounded him with vicious looks.
"Hey, who the hell are you? Who let you in here?"
"White boy, get out. This ain't where you're supposed to be!"

Completely ignoring their shouting, Frank's figure flashed. The thugs collapsed to the ground, bruised and battered, foaming at the mouth as they slept very peacefully.
