They were standing beside a sand dune. Beneath it, they could vaguely make out a skeleton.
Perhaps because this was the first unusual thing they had encountered in days, they all stopped and looked at the skeleton, which was nearly completely buried in sand.
After thinking it over, Hinata directly dug up the skeleton.
She hoped, however faintly, to find something she wanted on those bones.
Their destination was naturally the Rōran Ruins, and few people normally came this deep into the desert. Since this body had been buried here, Hinata felt it was very likely connected to Rōran.
And so, they found a pleasant surprise.
It was a map. Of course, it was not the kind that clearly marked out a specific route.
Instead, it only indicated a general direction. In one corner of the map, the two large characters for Rōran were clearly marked.
Though the map was somewhat damaged, it did not matter. Now that they knew the general direction, they finally had something to look forward to.
Since they had benefited from the ninja world, Hinata and the others naturally could not bear to see this predecessor continue eating sand here.
With a strong sense of responsibility, they dug a huge pit in the desert.
Only then did they place the remains inside and bury them.
From that moment on, they resumed their journey.
This time, however, things went much more smoothly.
After traveling for roughly another day, they finally arrived at the destination they had been seeking.
Standing atop a high sand dune, Hinata looked into the distance and quickly spotted the vast stretch of ruined walls below.
However, due to the peculiar weather in the desert,
the ruins seemed to be shrouded in a veil of sand and mist, making them appear dim and
