Konoha was still the same Konoha it had been three years ago, bustling with people, as prosperous and lively as ever.
Yet unlike the vast, bustling central area of Konoha,
there was a small courtyard located within Konoha, somewhat removed from its center but still far from the outskirts.
The spring breeze swept past, setting the wind chimes hanging from the corridor ringing.
The chimes gave off a clear, pleasant tinkling sound.
The corridor was not long, only about ten meters or so. In truth, a corridor like this should not have existed in such a small courtyard.

Still, the corridor made the already small courtyard seem even more cramped.
Of course, this was not a wealthy household. Comparatively speaking, though, their life was already quite decent.

There was a vine-covered tree in the yard, its branches tied with many long strips that seemed to be made of white cloth or white paper.
There were a great many of them. Even though the tree had thick, lush leaves, they could not conceal the white that was visible everywhere.
Beneath the tree sat a purple-haired youth in a wheelchair.
No, although he still looked like a youth, he was actually quite old.
Put simply, calling him an uncle would do just fine.
Not far from the uncle's wheelchair, someone else stood in the corridor.
Her long light-blue hair fluttered in the wind. She wore a blue-and-white hoodie, a pair of timeless black pants,
and a pair of fresh-looking black-and-white sneakers.
She was a graceful young girl—no, "girl" seemed a little too young.
