"Honored wizard, as you can see, I am a robot."
The metal lump, squeezed and warped into a ball by the spacetime passage, introduced itself in a halting mechanical voice. It then seemed to realize that its form had changed drastically and added, "No, not the kind of robot you understand—the robot slaves mentally controlled and enslaved by the New Humans' Heavenly Net. I mean... the Robot Clan!"
"Oh?"
As Green forced open the spacetime passageways in every direction, he looked like a fat rat struggling to burrow through a hole, or perhaps a giant worm. In any case, he was in a terrible state, thoroughly cramped and uncomfortable.
From time to time, low-level metal robots were dragged down through the mouth of the spacetime passage. Under the unimaginable crushing force of warped space and time in all directions, they were reduced to scrap metal. Some were pulled toward the enormous thing deep within the passage and, upon drawing close, were broken down by black flames; others were exiled into unknown realms of space and time.
Yet upon hearing this low-level robot introduce itself in such a distinctive manner, Green's tricolored eyes lit up. A research lead into the Metal Destroyer Civilization had delivered itself right to his doorstep!
Green's understanding of the Metal Destroyer Civilization remained at a rather backward stage. The New Humans he had captured in the past had already died during the passage through the Dimensional Esophagus. The gap between their life levels had even been so immense that there had been no opportunity for communication.
Fortunately, Green had handed some of those humanoid creatures—whose identity as New Humans had not yet been known at the time—to several other Stigmata Wizards sharing the mission. He did not know whether the Wizard World had managed to uncover
