Violent space-time fluctuations spread throughout the entire Dimensional Esophagus.

A suffocating pressure descended from the sky overhead.

One emanated a soft pale-golden glow, while the other produced the "clatter, clatter, clatter" of cards being shuffled. Even invasions by absurd, illusory rules such as the Dimension Gap, the Other Shore Yellow Springs Realm, and the Ashen World had never brought such a terrifying phenomenon upon the Dimensional Esophagus.
