The fable was about three Wishes, three stories, yet also one continuous fable.
In ancient times, heaven and earth shook, the people lived in misery, natural disasters never ceased, and man-made calamities never ended. All living beings of the world came together at the Heaven-Reaching Tower to pray for peace between heaven and earth. Their sincerity moved the Deity in the heavens, and the Deity descended to the mortal realm, stabilizing Earth Fire and Feng Shui between heaven and earth so the world no longer shook. All spirits bowed in thanks to the god. This was the content of the first wish.
The second wish concerned the Hundred Thousand Mountains.
Many foreign races lived there, all bloodthirsty flesh-eaters. Yet they were born with strange gifts, and ordinary people were no match for them. Thus, people went to the Heaven-Reaching Tower to offer sacrifices and pray. A divine being descended to the world, and not one in ten of the foreign races survived. From then on, foreign races no longer threw the world into chaos.
The third wish spoke of a prosperous nation, peaceful people, and peace under heaven. Someone rashly sought immortality, and cultivators searched everywhere for methods and teachings. Reading ancient scrolls, they learned of the Heaven-Reaching Tower's existence. They brought offerings and found the Heaven-Reaching Tower, prayed
