Background / History

Xiao Yan learned intelligence suggesting that the Ancient Clan and Soul Clan intended to seize the Gu Yu held by either the Thunder Clan or Yao Clan. He recognized that such an operation could trigger a decisive, all-out war between the continent's major powers, but also considered the possibility that the information was false. 1132

Rather than acting openly, he ordered Origin Return Manor to recall Qing Lin and its dispersed Dou Sheng-level experts, consolidate its forces, and send a carefully measured warning to the Stone, Yao, and Thunder Clan alliance. He specifically avoided exposing Origin Return Manor's source within the Ancient Clan. 1132
