Heavenly Snake Mansion and the Ten Thousand Beasts Assembly

Qing Lin grows up as an orphan of mixed human and serpent ancestry, suffering hostility because of her heritage. She does not know her parents' identities and believes her father was probably one of the Snake-People. Before joining the Heavenly Snake Mansion, she belongs to the Desert Iron Mercenary Company, where Xiao Yan's brothers treat her kindly, and serves as Xiao Yan's maid 9 52 405.

While Xiao Yan is absorbing the Crimson Lotus Karma Flame, Mo Chen abducts Qing Lin with the intention of transplanting her rare pupils. Members of the Heavenly Snake Mansion rescue her and bring her to their faction, where her extraordinary talent earns her the position of Saintess. Despite being treated well, she continues to long for Xiao Yan; Aunt Chu offers her an opportunity to go out if she performs well at the Ten Thousand Beasts Assembly 9.

Qing Lin is initially the Saintess of the Heavenly Snake Mansion, whose elders value her rare Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils as a major asset. When Xiao Yan visits Tianlan City after learning of her whereabouts, Qing Lin begs him not to leave her at the mansion. Ming Mei's Inheritance

After her rescue, Qing Lin encounters Ming Mei, the Jade-Eyed Charm Saint and a former Nine-Star Dou Sheng who possesses the same Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils. Ming Mei explains that Qing Lin's eyes are an extraordinarily rare innate constitution connected to her serpent-type bloodline and accepts Qing Lin as her first and only disciple 52 54.
