Xiao Yan and the Heavenly Luan Clan saved Starfall Pavilion from the allied attackers, but Xiao Yi Xian’s Woeful Poison Body remained a danger and Xiao Yan promised to marry her. The arc left Xiao Yan and Xiao Yi Xian trapped in Tang Qiying’s formation as Xiao Yan fought him at one-star Dou Zun strength.

• Mu Yaoyin warned Xiao Yan that Soul Hall threatened Starfall Pavilion, then pledged the Heavenly Luan Clan’s help and flew there with him.
• The Soul Hall’s forces intercepted the group, while Mu Que, Chen Wei, and Mu Yaoyin engaged their pursuers and sent Xiao Yan onward with Mu Zi'er and Mu Xinyuan.
• Xiao Yan arrived at Starfall Pavilion as Xiao Yi Xian released her Woeful Poison Body, then stabilized her and faced Venerable Lei and Venerable Yellow Spring.
• Xiao Yan defeated Venerable Lei and drove off Venerable Yellow Spring, while Xiao Yi Xian and Mu Que helped force Ice Venerable and Ice River Valley to retreat.
• Mu Yaoyin sealed Xiao Yi Xian’s Woeful Poison Body for two months, and Xiao Yan promised to find the Bodhisattva Body Transformation Saliva before accepting Xiao Yi Xian’s proposal of marriage.
• Xiao Yan invited Fei Tian to remain with Starfall Pavilion, then reformed his Three Thousand Lightning Phantom Body with a Heartblood Clay Puppet.
• Tang Qiying ambushed Xiao Yan and Xiao Yi Xian, wounded Xiao Yan, and trapped them in a formation after revealing his jealousy and intent to kill Xiao Yan.
• Xiao Yan fought Tang Qiying with his ruler techniques and Heavenly Fire changes, reaching the strength of a one-star Dou Zun.

Xiao Yan survived Tang Qiying’s attack, recovered at Starfall Pavilion, and defeated Ling Quan and Gu Yao when the Ancient Clan came to retrieve Xun Er. He then set out with Xiao Yi Xian and Qing Lin for Sound Valley, planning to find medicinal herbs along the way.

• Xiao Yi Xian poisoned Tang Qiying while Xiao Yan held him, and Xiao Yan used a Buddha Fury Fire Lotus to shatter Tang Qiying’s formation before shielding her from his attack.
• Qing Lin and Xun Er turned the battle against the Heaven Demon Phoenix Clan, while Xun Er rescued the nearly exhausted Xiao Yan and Huo Yi treated his injuries.
• Xiao Yan’s recovery triggered a breakthrough to nine-star Dou Zong, and Xun Er comforted Xiao Yi Xian as they spoke about their feelings for him and the Bodhisattva Body Transformation Saliva at Sound Valley.
• Gu Yao arrived with Ancient Clan forces and ordered Xun Er to return, but Xiao Yan recovered and challenged Ling Quan, defeating him with a single punch.
• Xiao Yan fought Gu Yao with a four-colored fire lotus and defeated him, after which Xun Er replenished Xiao Yan’s Dou Qi and he asked when he could visit the Ancient Clan.
• Xiao Yan secured the Heavenly Luan Clan’s support, chose Qing Lin to accompany him, and departed for Sound Valley with Xiao Yi Xian and Mu Qingluan.
• During the journey, Xiao Yan searched Venerable Lei and Venerable Yellow Spring’s collections, learned several seal hand forms, and planned to seek medicinal herbs in Road Mountain City.

Xiao Yan secured rare ingredients and soul-enhancing treasures at the Cliff Gang’s trade fair, then defeated Ling Zhuo in a contest of Heavenly Flames and soul power. He agreed to help Tang Zhen treat Tang Huo'er but left for Sound Valley first to seek the Bodhisattva Body Transformation Saliva.

• Xiao Yan arrived in Road Mountain City with Xiao Yi Xian, Qing Lin, and Mu Qingluan, learned the Cliff Gang controlled the region’s medicinal herb markets, and bought rare ingredients from Lin Xiuya.
• As the trade fair approached, Xiao Yi Xian told Xiao Yan the story of her childhood, the deaths caused by her Woeful Poison Body, and her guilt, and Xiao Yan comforted her before they became intimate.
• At the underground trade fair, Xiao Yan bought herbs for Yao Lao and a Spirit-Nurturing Dust pellet, then received the ancient cauldron from Ling Zhuo and gained the Heavenly Lightning Soul Forging technique hidden inside it.
• Tang Zhen asked for help saving his daughter Tang Huo'er, and Ling Zhuo demanded the Nine Dragon Thunder Fire before proposing marriage to her, but Tang Zhen refused.
• Xiao Yan intervened on Tang Zhen’s behalf and defeated Ling Zhuo’s Heavenly Flame dragon and hidden soul attack by using the Crimson Lotus Karma Flame and Green Lotus Core Flame.
• After the contest, Tang Zhen asked Xiao Yan to help treat Tang Huo'er, whose condition had worsened after a flawed Fire Bodhi Pill, and Xiao Yan agreed to assist with his Heavenly Flame.
• Xiao Yan told Tang Zhen and Kang Ning that he was Yao Chen’s disciple, then chose to visit Sound Valley for the Bodhisattva Body Transformation Saliva despite learning that the valley had cut off communication.

Xiao Yan fought to obtain the Bodhisattva Body Transformation Saliva for Xiao Yi Xian, first defeating Lei Jingxiao and then uncovering Qin Shiyin and Tang Qiying’s theft. Tang Qiying died with the medicine lost, leaving Xiao Yan unable to save Xiao Yi Xian with it.

• Xiao Yan entered Sound Valley seeking the Bodhisattva Body Transformation Saliva, then agreed to fight Lei Jingxiao after Qin Shiyin was defeated.
• Xiao Yan battled Lei Jingxiao until Jiang Yunyan intervened, after which Fanyin agreed to trade him the saliva for a fair price.
• Xiao Yan discovered that the saliva he received was fake and returned to Sound Valley, where the injured disciple identified Qin Shiyin as the thief.
• Qin Shiyin admitted taking the saliva, while Tang Qiying revealed that he and Chen Wei had altered Sound Valley’s formation and seized control of its stored sound energy.
• Qin Zhun sacrificed himself to shield Fanyin, and Xiao Yan attacked Tang Qiying and Qin Shiyin with a fire lotus.
• Tang Qiying retrieved the saliva from a concealed bracelet on Qin Shiyin, but lost control of the formation as Fanyin and Xiao Yan attacked him.
• After the fighting resumed five years later, Fanyin pierced Tang Qiying’s heart, but he survived long enough to swallow a green substance and attack Xiao Yan.
• Xiao Yan’s ruler attack tore through Tang Qiying’s formations, but Tang Qiying exploded his soul and died with the saliva lost, leaving Xiao Yan crying out for Xiao Yi Xian.
