Xiao Yan survived the swarm, advanced through the tomb by harvesting energy cores, and met Ling Fengzhui for a deadly duel as Wei Jiangyuan prepared to lead an expedition to the Creation Dou Saint Ruins.

• Huo Zhi yielded the Flame Clan’s slot to Huo Xuan, while Lei Jingxiao and Lei Dong settled their own entry dispute before the sixteen participants entered the Heavenly Tomb.
• Huo Xuan revealed himself as a One-Star Dou Sheng and joined Hun Yu and Ling Fengzhui in battling Xiao Yan, Xun Er, Huo Zhi, and Lei Jingxiao, but a vast swarm of Ancient Devouring Insects interrupted the fight.
• The insect swarm separated the fighters, and Xiao Yan survived by conserving his Dou Qi, drawing the insects away with a phantom body, and killing their Half-Saint leader with Shadow Piercing Needles.
• Xiao Yan used the Soul Puppet Control Technique to drive the insects away, then recovered on the second layer and cultivated by defeating undead energy bodies and absorbing their crystals.

Xiao Yan defeated Ling Fengzhui, learned of the Soul Clan’s schemes, and rescued Huo Zhi while uncovering the truth about Xun Er’s suffering. He and Huo Zhi stayed on the third level to recover and prepare for the Soul Clan, while searching for Lei Jingxiao.

• Xiao Yan defeated Ling Fengzhui with the Crimson Lotus Karma Flame, and Ling Fengzhui explained the Spirit Clan’s submission to the Soul Clan before asking Xiao Yan to pass on his inheritance.
• Xiao Yan learned that a Soul Clan agent had entered the Heavenly Tomb under the Spirit Clan’s name, then erased Ling Fengzhui’s body and soul at his request.
• Tang Qiying overwhelmed Huo Xuan, who used his remaining strength to send Huo Zhi through the barrier before his soul dissipated.
• Lei Dong recognized the disguised Spirit Clan entrant as Hun Feng, while Xiao Yan absorbed energy cores and advanced to the middle stage of Half-Saint.
• Xiao Yan followed Huo Zhi’s jade pendant, rescued her from a late Half-Saint energy being, and treated her severe injuries, including the sinister technique Tang Qiying had hidden in her mind.

Xiao Yan fought Tang Qiying in the Heavenly Tomb, with Huo Zhi joining him before the Soul Clan intervened and Xiao Xuan’s allies rescued them. Xiao Yan reunited with Xun Er at Xiao Xuan’s tomb residence and forgave her over Second Brother’s death.

• Xiao Yan and Huo Zhi trained together, then reunited with Lei Jingxiao and traveled toward the fourth level of the Heavenly Tomb.
• Xiao Yan separated from Huo Zhi and Lei Jingxiao to face Tang Qiying, who used Huo Xuan’s clan mark and his second head to raise his strength and soul power.
• Xiao Yan and Tang Qiying exchanged powerful attacks until Xiao Yan’s Five-Colored Fire Lotus destroyed Tang Qiying’s defenses and engulfed him.
• Tang Qiying survived through the Nihility Devouring Flame Child Flame, but Huo Zhi arrived and struck him down after his face briefly changed to Huo Xuan’s.

Xiao Yan restored the Xiao Clan bloodline, reached the Dou Saint Realm, and used his new clan marks to help Xiao Xuan wound Gu Yuan and Soul Heavenly Emperor. After leaving the Heavenly Tomb, Xiao Yan and Xun Er chose to leave the Ancient Clan together.

• Xiao Xuan explained the Xiao Clan’s decline and used its preserved bloodline to begin restoring Xiao Yan’s blood, with Xun Er, Huo Zhi, and Lei Jingxiao offering their essence blood to help.
• Xiao Yan endured the fusion of several clans’ bloodlines and the Eight Wastelands Destruction Flame, then broke through to the middle stage of one-star Dou Sheng and formed the Xiao Clan mark.
• Xiao Xuan inscribed an Ancient Clan mark on Xiao Yan, gave him the Ancient Insect Emperor Armor and Black Flame, and prepared to confront Gu Yuan and Soul Heavenly Emperor.
• Xiao Xuan distracted Gu Yuan and Soul Heavenly Emperor with the secret of reaching Dou Di, allowing Xiao Yan to unleash Ninefold Crimson Tide and help wound their projections as Hun Feng and the others escaped.
