No one knew what Dumbledore had said, but by the next day, Cornelius Fudge, who had already been forced from office, actually returned to the Ministry of Magic and happily agreed to continue serving as Minister for Magic.

That was how the Daily Prophet reported it, complete with a photograph taken outside the Minister's office.

In it, Fudge's face was livid, his entire body tense. No matter how one looked at it, he did not appear happy at all.

"When I found Cornelius, he was celebrating with his friends that he had left the Ministry of Magic early. They were even planning to hold a ball next week."

Although Dumbledore's expression had not changed at all when he said this, Silvan could still tell that he was somewhat angry.

But that was understandable. In the United Kingdom now, nearly every wizard lived under the shadow of Voldemort and the Death Eaters, venturing out with the utmost caution. Among the Hit Wizards, Aurors, and Order of the Phoenix members fighting them, people died every day.

And although Cornelius Fudge was not the original culprit behind all this, he had indirectly helped Voldemort expand his influence.

If he had listened to Dumbledore's advice and made a series of preparations in advance, they would never have been in such a passive position now—especially with the Dementors defecting and Azkaban falling, both of which were directly connected to Fudge.

Yet after causing all this, he was singing and dancing in celebration of having escaped disaster?

Moreover, Silvan remembered that Fudge himself seemed to be a staunch pure-blood supporter. Perhaps many of the people he had invited were Death Eaters themselves.

No wonder Dumbledore was so angry.

Silvan did not ask how he had persuaded Fudge. The process could not have gone smoothly, but fortunately,
