Chapter 801: Tonks Arrives
Late at night, in the Great Hall.
The enchanted ceiling was dark and hazy, dotted with twinkling stars. Below it, the four long tables stood empty, without a soul in sight.
Suddenly, the tightly shut doors were pushed open, and two figures walked in one after the other.
"Silvan, are you sure this is okay?"
"Of course." Silvan stopped beside the fireplace and gave his wand a light flick, removing an ancient bronze ornament before replacing it with an identical one.
"You have to understand, the Great Hall is one of the most important places in Hogwarts. If we go to war with the Death Eaters, this place will definitely become a battlefield. There's nothing wrong with making preparations in advance."
"No, I mean, isn't it too early to be doing this now?" Harry looked somewhat worried.
"The Great Hall is where the most people gather. The entire school comes here to eat. What if someone accidentally touches one of the mechanisms? Wouldn't that expose our plan?"
"Relax, you should trust Fred and George's judgment—" Silvan walked over to the staff table and stopped before the lectern carved with owl decorations, waving his wand again.
"They chose these spots with great care. Under normal circumstances, students would never come near them. Besides, even if they are accidentally exposed, we have backup plans."
"Let's hope so," Harry said, though he still could not hide his concern.
He then opened the Marauder's Map and carefully watched the movements of everyone else in the castle, keeping an eye out for anyone approaching.
Silvan, however, was not worried in the slightest. He went to several places according to the plan, then left the Great Hall with Harry before Slytherin's patrol arrived.
