Background / History

Tang San was raised in Holy Soul Village by his father, Tang Hao. When Su Yuntao and Mashuno came to recruit him for Martial Soul Hall, Tang Hao refused on his behalf and drove them away; Tang San nonetheless remained polite to the visitors. 6

After awakening his Martial Soul, Tang San entered Notting Academy and met Xiao Wu and Yu Xiaogang. He concealed the fact that he possessed a second Martial Soul, the Clear Sky Hammer, even when Yu Xiaogang sought to accept him as a disciple. 17 263

At Shrek Academy, Tang San fought Zhao Wuji alone to shield Xiao Wu from further injury. He used his second Martial Soul, hidden weapons, and his full strength, then removed the weapons embedded in Zhao Wuji after the test. 54

He later trained under Tang Hao, reaching level 50 amid the political rise of the Spirit Empire. 149 He subsequently entered Slaughter City, where the Mysterious Heaven Skill helped him resist its killing intent and drew the attention of the Shura God. 152 166

During a zombie-apocalypse timeline, Tang San survived the fall of Notting Academy with Xiao Wu. He joined Lin Bei to investigate Holy Soul Village, discovered Tang Hao's letter stating that he was alive, and later found his father as a zombie. Tang San asked Lin Bei to let Tang Hao rest in peace. 263 264 275

Years later, Tang San inherited the Shura God's Godhood and challenged Lin Bei for violating the God Realm's prohibition on gods remaining in the lower realm. Their battle lasted more than three weeks; Tang San lost and relinquished his law-enforcer identity while retaining the Godhood of Slaughter. 349
