A little over ten minutes later, Jiang Qian picked up the stun baton, drenched in sweat, and went to the side to answer a call.
"Hello?"
"Jiang Qian, it's Snow White. We have some work to take care of over here. Can you come back now?"
"Sure. Ten minutes."
"Okay, no rush. I'll wait for you~"
Jiang Qian hung up and looked at the still-unsatisfied Master Ye. "The department has work for me, so I have to head back. Thanks for today."
"How boring. I'd only just gotten into it." Ye Xiaojing complained with a blank expression.
"Don't get too attached to me. See you around."
After a quick shower and a change into the spare clothes he'd brought, Jiang Qian returned to the department.
The rabbit-eared girl, Xiao Xuebai, was already standing there, graceful and lovely.
"Jiang Qian!"
"Sorry, I went to work out."
"That's perfectly normal. Our department isn't busy~" Xiao Xuebai said, showing she understood completely. "I heard there was an incident over there just now. Mine almost got broken too... "No, I didn't notice. Maybe they were sparring behind closed doors?" Jiang Qian smiled.
"Oh, I see." The rabbit-eared girl seemed much more interested in gossip than work. "By the way, we've got a few internal disputes to handle. Come with me and help out. Remember, when we get there, watch my demonstration first. You'll understand what to do next time~"
"Sure."
And so, Jiang Qian's first day on the job brought him his first assignment: mediating an internal fight.
In the infirmary, a man with a mohawk glared disdainfully at a bespectacled man who'd been wrapped up like a dumpling. "You want me to let him off? And apologize to him? No way! This bastard called me a nepo hire. If I hadn't heard him, fine, but since I did, I had to beat his damn head in!"
Seeing his colleagues from the Security Department there, the bespectacled man refused to back down. "I don't want him to apologize. I want a medical assessment! And compensation!!"

The infirmary erupted into chaos. Some people tried to break up the fight, while others stayed well out of the way.
Even the hulking man who'd just been brought in unconscious nearly woke up from all the shouting.
Just then, Miss Xiao Xuebai calmly walked between them. She bent her elbows, held up her little fists at her chest, stamped her long, fair legs, and pouted her lips.
"Come on, you two, stop arguing~ Sit down for me, right now!!"
The entire room fell silent.
The two troublemakers seemed to freeze. In that instant, their goals and demands veered completely off course.
They looked at Xiao Xuebai and started listening to her reason with them.
"You~ You were the one who hit him first, and now you're making excuses and taking it too far. So what if he called you a nepo hire? You could've just ignored him!"
"And you~ What were you thinking? Can't you stop spreading rumors? He's a powder keg, and you're just adding fuel to the fire! You're coworkers. Can't you work things out properly~?"
And just like that, the matter was settled.
Jiang Qian found her words completely unconvincing, but after Xiao Xuebai said them, the two colleagues seemed to have been bewitched. They apologized and paid compensation without a single complaint.

Afterward, Xiao Xuebai shared her advice with Jiang Qian.

Then she turned on her computer, opened a webpage, and started watching a web series...
License Holders had the typical nine-to-five work schedule.
"Okay, then why haven't you left?"
"I'm on duty today. If anything urgent comes up outside working hours, I'll be able to provide support and pass on the message. But you're an intern, so you don't need to worry about taking turns on duty~"
Jiang Qian understood. The Security Department's daily work might not be too demanding, but if something did happen, its role was irreplaceable.

"Are you the only one here?"
