Jinping West Station was an old railway station slated for renovation. It saw less traffic than the other stations, and it was also easier to screen its relatively smaller number of tourists.
Because Jinping was geographically close to Jingcheng, a train from Jinping to Jingcheng left West Station about every half hour.
The journey took around two hours to reach Jingcheng.
The trip wasn't particularly long. If I wanted to stage a robbery within those two hours, I'd have to ambush the train after it left Jinping but before it entered Jingcheng. The thirty-minute stretch in between would be the ideal window... Jiang Qian considered the possibility of something going wrong on this trip.
Just then, a voice sounded beside him. "Hey, I heard you took down two Second State: Heteromorphic Forms on your own. Is that true?"
Jiang Qian followed the voice and paused. It took him a moment to connect the speaker to the cat-quick boy he remembered.
That was back when Jiang Qian had first come into contact with the authorities.
"Oh, I got lucky."
"Er Long!" Team Bear called. "Save the chatting for later. The First Team's here."
They all looked toward the voice.
A tall, burly man in denim and sunglasses led a group toward the waiting room, carrying a "box" about two meters long.
Jiang Qian instinctively activated Spirit Vision to examine it, only to find that the box was shielded. His sight couldn't penetrate it.
Maybe the target is inside that box... Jiang Qian thought.
As the tall, burly man approached Team Bear, the "box" was being taken aboard the train. Along with the people carrying it, a petite, short-haired woman boarded as well.
The sixth train of the day, bound for Jingcheng, was about to depart.
