Mu Fengyu walked alone across the lands of Asgard, gazing toward the distant level 70 wild zone, Thundercliff. That was where the Tears of Angels guild was headquartered.
A guild built within a level 70 dungeon likely possessed around 2,000 production points. Without an inside man to lead the way, a speed-run would be quite troublesome.
According to the intel provided by the mole, the Tears of Angels guild was divided into five zones from the cliff base to the summit. Although the cliffside terrain limited their ability to terraform, each zone was guarded by a level 100 NPC and riddled with restrictive traps.
Fortunately, there was a mole inside. When the operation began, they would help disable the traps, leaving Mu Fengyu to deal with the guarding NPCs alone.
He took one last look at Thundercliff and turned, ready to find somewhere else to relax. After all, there wouldn't be any "angels" left here by tomorrow; he should take a good look while they were still around.
Mu Fengyu wandered aimlessly through the forest until the sound of fighting reached him from afar. He activated high-level stealth and headed over to join the fun.
Upon arriving, he realized it was a group of angels playing ball. No, looking closer, it was actually an alien-race player—likely a branch of the machine race, as only they could abandon their chassis and flee with their core.
He had probably been hunted elsewhere and was forced to run using his core. Outside of the three worlds of Alfheim, players in other worlds generally prioritized hunting alien-race players on sight.
Mu Fengyu watched them dribbling and dunking. He already held no love for angels, and now he wanted to go up and wring their necks. Just as he prepared to step out and dish out some justice, eight human players ran over from the side. They wore uniform gear with a fierce wolf head embroidered on their chests, clearly members of some guild.
That alien-race player must have been specifically hunted to help the noobs behind them complete a job change, as many human class advancements required hunting alien players.
The angel players glanced over. A few level 60-something scrubs; not much of a threat, they could play a bit longer.
The human players saw the ball was still in play and collectively breathed a sigh of relief. Alien-race players were quite hard to find in Asgard, after all.
The leader of the humans stepped forward to negotiate, stating that they had found and hunted this alien player first, but he had escaped. They hoped the chance to land the killing blow could be left to the noob behind them.
The angel players disagreed. They had finally found such a fun ball; they couldn't just hand it over because someone asked. Unless, of course, they had a fair and square game of ball—using the alien player as the ball. As he spoke, he spun the core on his fingertip and tossed it to a companion.
The poor alien player had participated in the entire game without a shred of enjoyment and had stopped talking altogether. If no one came to save him, he might be one less alien player in the game.
Mu Fengyu, who had been watching the whole time from the sidelines, finally couldn't hold back. You ask why he was nearby without being discovered? Well, there wasn't a single player with an exploration-type class present, and one should never underestimate GM technology.
He reached out, snatched the core, and punched the human noob into pixels with one blow. Ripples flowed beneath his feet, and in an instant, a circle of sharp wooden spikes forced everyone back.
Forced to retreat, both parties realized the person before them was not to be trifled with. Though they were numerous, the fact that he could approach them without a sound suggested he possessed far greater strength. Moreover, judging by that punch and the wooden spikes, the opponent's power was definitely not to be underestimated.
The angel players looked at each other, stunned that someone had suddenly intervened, while the human players were furious, believing this interloper had ruined their good deed.
Mu Fengyu didn't care about their reactions. He glanced coolly at the core in his hand, tapped it twice, and asked nonchalantly, "Hey, can you still talk?"
The eye at the center of the core flashed red twice, and a youthful, boyish voice came through.
"I'm... okay, just a bit dizzy."
Mu Fengyu nodded, pulled a high-level healing potion from his inventory, and poured it directly onto the core. As the potion took effect, precise parts extended outward from the core, gradually assembling into an abstract-looking robot.
And why was it abstract? It stood 1.3 meters tall, with a left arm 1.2 meters long and a right arm that was just a tiny nub, while octopus-like tentacles flailed wildly on the ground. You could say he really understood the "alien" race.
"Thanks for saving me, big boss. May I ask your name?"
"Let's save the small talk for later. Let me get you some revenge first."
With that, he looked toward the two parties preparing to flee, as they had finally realized the man before them was the one with the highest bounty in the game.
Setting the bounty aside, anyone who made it onto the list was a ruthless character, let alone this one—he could probably crush them just by lifting a finger.
However, Mu Fengyu didn't intend to let them escape. He was just here to scout; he didn't want to expose himself prematurely.
He flashed in front of the strongest angel player, reached back to pull out a long spear, and shink—he pinned the angel to the ground in one fluid motion.
He turned to the other fleeing players, clapped his hands together, and said with a sinister grin, "You've seen me, so how could I let you run? Come on, strike a pose, my little darlings."
As he spoke, the white flower atop his head emitted waves of light. The earth began to change its environment, centered on him; the forest was gradually replaced by a grassland, and the fleeing crowd was taken aback.
"What is this?"
Before they could react, monsters fused with vegetation launched a frenzied attack. Toads with six blood-red eyes lashed out with tongues, snagging players and dragging them close; lightning-fast mantises cut players in half in the blink of an eye; and cordyceps with human faces erupted from the soil to bite them.
In moments, everyone who thought they could escape was finished off by these monsters. These were the "Predaplant" monsters automatically generated by the [Cecilia's Flower] domain.
Except for the angel pinned to the ground by Mu Fengyu at the start, the other players were at most level 80-something; these monsters made short work of them.
"Let me see if there's any good loot."
Mu Fengyu walked up to the corpses and began his ancestral looting technique. Though there wasn't anything good, Mu Fengyu thoughtfully placed a card on each of them—a GM-exclusive item also known as a ban-hammer card.
The moment the cards were placed, their corpses dissolved into black data and vanished. Mu Fengyu clapped his hands and walked happily toward the little noob.
"Hello, little noob. My name is Mu Fengyu, the most handsome sugar daddy of the Nine-Man Suicide Subgroup. What's your name?"
The little noob stared blankly at everything before him. As a novice just entering the game, world-class items and GMs were far beyond his reach. Everything he had just witnessed dealt a massive blow to his young heart. He only snapped back to reality when he heard Mu Fengyu's question, hurriedly replying in a loud voice.
"Hello, big boss Mu Fengyu, my name is Poluo Duo. Siyou Qilong."
