Background

Mu Fengyu transmigrated after an assassination attempt and grew up in a wealthy family. He resumed keeping a diary, invested heavily in YGGDRASIL, and created the unique Traptrix race for his player character. 1

Within YGGDRASIL, he joined the Nine-Man Suicide Subgroup and later formed a guild with its members. He also introduced a Yu-Gi-Oh-like duel mechanic that became popular among players. 1

Appearance

Mu Fengyu is initially described as a white-haired young man. 2 When he later emerged from a vortex in a forest, his appearance was striking enough to stun the nearby adventurers. 133

Personality

Mu Fengyu is confident, playful, and highly provocative. He frequently uses jokes, teasing, and psychological pressure to unsettle opponents, including Rebel during the Duel King finals. 2 3 4

Despite his reckless habits, he is strongly attached to his companions. His determination to win the Duel King tournament is tied to his bond with Momonga, and he repeatedly acts to protect or reward allies such as Peroroncino and Siyou Qilong. 5 9 36

He can also be calculating and manipulative. During the conflict with Tears of Angels, he exploited guild members’ greed, recruited an insider, and later used emotional pressure and motivational language to force Vier back into compliance. 27 32 105

Duel King Tournament

Mu Fengyu enters the Duel King competition and reaches the Jotunheim grand final against Rebel. He counters Rebel’s aggressive combinations with traps, Xyz Monsters, and disruption before winning the championship. 3 4 5 6 7

Storm Horn Conflict

After being left behind following a Super-tier spell, Mu Fengyu is rescued by Peroroncino while Storm Horn pursues them and posts a bounty. Mu Fengyu later uses a World-Class Item to scatter onlookers during the wider conflict. 9 17

Tears of Angels Raid

When intelligence about his group’s stronghold and World-Class Item spreads, Mu Fengyu responds by using his shareholder status to demand defensive game changes and manipulate Tears of Angels personnel. 21 27

He scouts the guild’s Asgard territory, rescues Poluo Duo from hostile angel and human players, and infiltrates Tears of Angels with Gabriel’s assistance. He defeats Michael through Life-Sacrifice Mode and the Zeus mecha form, loots the guild treasury, and returns with the Thermal Stone. 28 32 35 36 37

Vanaheim Expeditions

Mu Fengyu pilots Zeus against the Level 90 Crimson Flame Wolf King, though the machine’s energy is exhausted after the battle. He later employs a self-destructive greatsword to eliminate the Flame Wolf pack and resurrects afterward. 48 49

He and Siyou Qilong subsequently combine to defeat the Tide Spirit, with Siyou Qilong serving as Divine Weapon armor. 59

Nazarick’s Reunions and Wandering Plan

Mu Fengyu revives Ulbert and Bukubukuchagama with Cecilia’s Flower, restoring them in their game-era forms and enabling their reunion with Momonga. 118
