After taking Ophis for a walk around the area, Kiana gave up on the idea of going out to have fun. Although Ophis looked like nothing more than a little girl, she could not truly be treated as a child.
After all, she was the renowned Infinite Dragon God.
"Then let's head back!"
With nothing else to do, Kiana prepared to take Ophis home.
But when Kiana took Ophis's hand and tried to leave, she could not pull her along at all.
"Ophis?"
Kiana looked at the girl beside her in confusion and found her staring fixedly into the distance, as though she had not heard a word Kiana said.
Following Ophis's gaze, Kiana saw a cotton candy stall. Ophis was watching without blinking as the cotton candy took shape before being handed to another child.
"Do you want some cotton candy?"
She had just said Ophis was not a child, yet the next second, she had become interested in cotton candy and was even unwilling to leave.
"Cotton candy? That is what it is called..."
Only then did Ophis react. Her expression remained blank, but her curiosity was obvious.
"Yes! Sugar is poured into a cotton candy machine to make sugar threads, then the threads are wound around a stick. It melts in your mouth, and since the sugar threads look very much like cotton wool, that is how it got its name..."
"Oh."
Kiana did not know whether Ophis understood, but she merely turned her gaze back toward the cotton candy.
"If you want some, let's go buy one!"
What else could Kiana do when Ophis looked like that? She had not said she wanted any, but if Kiana did not buy it for her... she probably would not leave, right?
