"Can you see me?"
Mai Sakurajima froze. She had thought no one could see her anymore.
"I can."
Glancing at the evil spirit beside her, Griseo spoke the three words an evil spirit most longed to hear.
Yet the evil spirit hesitated. It did not know whether Griseo could see it, or whether she could see the girl beside it, who was somewhat similar to them.
Though "similar" was not quite right. At that moment, Mai Sakurajima seemed to be absent from the present world just like the evil spirits, yet the space she occupied was far too different from theirs.
"So someone really can see me!"
Mai Sakurajima sighed in amazement, then suddenly seemed to think of something and hurriedly looked around. Seeing that everyone else still could not see her, and that only the little girl before her could, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Although coming out dressed like this was a little provocative, she had no choice—it was for the sake of testing it. But if everyone could see her, she would still feel like dying of embarrassment.
"Not only can I see you, I can also see..."
Holding the kitten, Griseo said something that Mai Sakurajima did not quite understand.
Especially when Griseo's gaze suddenly shifted to the pole of the streetlamp nearby, Mai Sakurajima looked over there. Though she saw nothing, an inexplicable chill ran through her.
Because of Griseo's gaze and words, the evil spirit inside the streetlamp finally emerged completely. It walked over to Griseo and Mai Sakurajima, displaying its terrifying form before them.
Yet neither of them reacted in the slightest, making it doubt itself again. Could these two actually see it or not?
Griseo's words made it feel that she could see it, but why was she ignoring it...
