A little girl stood in the middle of the street, clutching a stuffed toy in confusion.
There was no one else here now, and her big brother was gone too! She wanted to leave, but he had told her to wait here. What if he couldn't find her if she left?
At a loss, she suddenly sensed something. She looked ahead—and froze.
As the ground trembled, a gigantic creature with a bull's head was walking toward her.
Its terrifying appearance instantly scared her into tears.
"Waaah! Mommy! I want Mommy!"
Clutching her doll in both hands, the little girl's voice was especially loud at that moment, drawing Gyuki's attention.
Staring at the human child before it, apparently irritated by her crying, it approached and stomped down without hesitation.
That single stomp could crush even a truck into pieces, let alone a human girl.
Yet the little girl continued crying heedlessly. The people hiding inside nearby buildings couldn't bear to watch.
But against such a monster, there was nothing they could do.
They had trusted their country's armed forces, but modern weapons were utterly useless against the monster.
Just as everyone thought the little girl was doomed to be crushed into pulp, a pink figure appeared before her first, scooped her up, and dodged Gyuki's stomp.
Holding the little girl, Elysia leaped several times and landed atop a high-rise building nearby.
"Don't cry, little cutie! It's all right now. Big sister is here."
Elysia patted the little girl's head, comforting her with a beautiful smile. She had no idea how the child had been looked after—how could someone leave her alone on the street at such a dangerous time?
Hearing Elysia's voice, the little girl's sobbing did indeed grow quieter.
