This underwater city must once have been incredibly prosperous, home to countless creatures. Yet no one knew what had happened to turn it into a place that had seemingly been abandoned for who knew how many years.
Looking at these buildings, which had not been damaged but merely weathered with age, the Herrscher of Flamescion guessed... perhaps, in a single instant, some disaster beyond human comprehension had descended.
Even an ancient civilization whose technology surpassed that of twenty-first-century humanity by three or four hundred years had been unable to resist or react, and had perished together.
That was undoubtedly terrifying.
