After comforting Seele, Bronya picked up her weapon and left the room once more, naturally remembering to close the door behind her.

The orphanage doors were the thick iron kind. It was probably thanks to those doors that Seele had escaped the zombies' attacks, though she had also been lucky.

Those doors could only keep out ordinary zombies. Against the hulking zombies Bronya had seen before, no door would be of any use.

After leaving Seele's room, Bronya did not rush to search the supermarket. Instead, she first swept through the orphanage room by room.

First, to see if there were any other survivors. Second, to clear out all the zombies here. Because... tonight... Bronya planned to spend the night here.

In less than ten minutes, Bronya had cleared out every zombie in the orphanage. To be safe... she cremated all their bodies as well.

However... she did not encounter any other survivors. Seele was the only survivor in the orphanage. Perhaps it was precisely because Seele was timid and weak that she had managed to survive.

After leaving the orphanage, Bronya held an unenhanced three-star Level 1 weapon, [Fire Fairy Type-II], in both hands. Without a trace of sneaking around, she strode down the road openly.

Fafnir Flame was too powerful. Using Fafnir Flame to kill monsters like zombies made Bronya feel as though she were using a cannon to kill mosquitoes.

Against zombies, the Fire Fairy she was using now was already a terrifying weapon. After all, even one- and two-star pistols could kill them in one shot.

Holding the Fire Fairy, Bronya casually shot every zombie that entered her field of vision. She did not need to worry about wasting ammunition at all.

After all, she had infinite ammo...

Even an unenhanced Fire Fairy was incredibly powerful
