The Northern Plains.
Tushan Central Court, the Black Demon Palace.
A young man in azure robes opened his eyes on the Six Paths Throne.
His eyes were clear, black distinct from white, deep as the night sky yet free of age-old weariness. They still held a guileless curiosity about the immortal path.

The Six Paths Sect founder's exploration of the immortal path was shallow; Jiang Ding had considered him "far too arrogant to call them the Six Paths" and renamed the Six Paths Reincarnation Palace the Black Demon Palace.
Now that Jiang Ding had advanced to Spirit Transformation, he looked back—and still thought the same. There had been no hidden fortuitous encounter.
