But to do it well, he still needed to consult Myriad Mechanisms, an authority on materials; Divine Mechanism, an authority on Array Spirit automation and control; and Yuan, who was exceptionally capable in every field.
He also needed the opinions of many others, including some Golden Core and Foundation Establishment cultivators.
Jiang Ding's sense of time differed greatly from that of lower-level cultivators and mortals, while the Immortal Sect's industrial system was closely bound to its vast population of both. They formed the first links in many of its industrial chains.
For example, the first step in synthesizing Geng Metal was carried out by mortal citizens and lower-level cultivators. Their production capacity had to be taken into account.
Foundation Establishment and Golden Core cultivators were more likely to produce specialists in this area, since they worked closer to basic industrial production.
He also needed to survey the mineral resources of the Immortal Sect's nearly two hundred minor worlds, the natural treasures available for trade within the territories of the Eight Great Immortal Sects, and those of the Heavenly Origin Domain.
After all, the designs for the five colossal orbital cannons had to specify what they would be made from.
Then there was the progress of research into new materials and technologies...
And so on.
In short, forging a colossal magical treasure in the Immortal Sect was
