The Heavenly Sword Star Domain was undergoing an orderly handover.
Seven-Kill Sword Venerable and many Sword Venerables expounded the Dao among the stars, discussing all manner of sword Dao mysteries and ultimate principles. From time to time, they manifested portions of their mana and divine sense onto the battlefield chessboard, fighting and debating the sword, looking carefree and harmoniously content.
As the many Sword Venerables debated the sword, batches of administratively restructured forces set out. Breaking their units into smaller groups, they gradually penetrated every part of the Heavenly Sword Star Domain cluster, took over the various Great Thousand Worlds and the Immortal Orders' assorted sect powers, and began implementing reforms in the economy, culture, institutions, and military.
Naturally, there were some twists and turns in this regard.
When interests were touched, no one could remain calm. Even the weak would always resist, causing some disorder.
However, without the support of Sovereigns, that disorder gradually vanished. It did not trigger large-scale unrest, and everything proceeded in perfect order.
Throughout the Heavenly Sword Star Domain cluster, the wealth of all cultivators who did not cause trouble could be preserved.
This was not a bloody war against alien races, but peaceful unification and a change of systems. Relatively speaking, it was exceedingly mild; so long as one had not committed heinous crimes beyond forgiveness, one could be pardoned.
The many powers of Immortal Orders and families across the star domain were reclaimed. They retained only the authority to educate, conduct research, and worship their ancestors and former masters, becoming, in substance, university institutions bearing the names of families and Immortal Orders.
The Sword Immortal Heir had no intention of sharing these many powers with the Sovereigns.
If anyone refused to accept it, then let them refuse.
