Where was the Immortal Sect's way out?
From beginning to end, there had only ever been one answer: the starry sky deep within the Spiritless Universe.
For many years, the Immortal Sect had poured its utmost strength into the Seedfire Project, following the example of generations of Human Emperors to establish a place akin to a secret realm. There, the seedfire of humanity would always be preserved. Even if humanity were exterminated in the boundless starry sky, once the era of the myriad races' emperors had passed, the human race could rise again.
The Immortal Sect now lacked the means of a Human Emperor, but it possessed the geographical advantage of the boundless starry sky.
As long as it hid deep within the Spiritless Universe and endured for tens of millions of years, then after the Human Emperors or Divine Emperors passed away, the Immortal Sect could revive once more, return to the Immortal-Dao Universe, and restore all its current Immortal-Dao sciences and technologies.
This Seedfire Project was extremely difficult.
Its greatest difficulty lay in time. Tens of millions of years was simply too long.
After those tens of millions of years had passed, every Immortal Sect Citizen of the present generation would be dead. Could the Immortal Sect still endure through such a vast span of time, remember the aspirations of the Immortal Sect in this era, and preserve the current Immortal-Dao inheritance?
