"Forsaken. I hate that smell." Alpha let out an angry growl and charged forward without hesitation.
With a bang, Darius flew out of a tent and slammed hard into a pillar. Sylvanas then stepped out of the tent and mocked him, "You've grown weaker, Darius." With a thunderous howl, Darius pounced on Sylvanas again, and the two plunged back into the tent. Darius's claws ripped through the canvas, while Sylvanas's arrows pierced it as well. Before long, the tent collapsed with a boom, and the two continued their fierce battle in the open.
The other four were also locked in fierce fights with the Dark Rangers. Before long, both sides were wounded, but the Worgen had completely fallen into a frenzy. All they could see were these undead. They fought as if they no longer cared about their lives, ignoring the enemy's attacks and their own wounds. They had only one goal: kill the enemies before them.
A scream rang out, and the first casualty appeared. One of the slightly older Worgen, exhausted and half a beat too slow to react, had his arm severed by a wolf rider beside him. Yet he also managed to tear that undead apart.
Darius was jolted awake by his comrade's scream. A glance around revealed that not only was he surrounded, but the other three were also trapped in their own battles. However, because of the Worgen's reckless fighting style, their enemies did not yet dare to swarm them together. Fortunately, Alpha had not been exposed.
"With me, and you still dare to lose focus?" Sylvanas seized the opportunity and fired a deadly arrow. Before Darius could react, it pierced through his shoulder blade. Blood sprayed out, quickly staining the surrounding fur red. "Damn it." Darius hurried away from Sylvanas and rushed into a tent. The pain cleared his head somewhat, and he understood that he had acted too impulsively. If they had retreated when they first encountered them, perhaps everyone would have remained safe. But now, even retreat was impossible. Still, if he were given another chance, he would have done the same. One of his hands pressed against his shoulder, while the other could no longer move at all.
Outside the tent, Sylvanas did not rush in. She ordered the soldiers outside, "Surround it. Take them alive. Capture the others alive if you can; if not, kill them all." Staring at the tent, she said, "Old man, surrender quietly. Don't struggle. You know you can't escape this place."
Alpha could only watch as his companions fell one after another, unable to save them. By now, he had calmed down from his rage. Because of Goldrinn's blessing, whenever he grew angry, a clear current flowed from his mind and instantly soothed his fury. There was also something else: the words of his fallen companions—"Save the boss." Those silent words were their final last words. Especially when that companion saw Alpha, he smiled as though relieved. Damn it. Alpha roared inwardly. Upon hearing Sylvanas's words, he did not hesitate and ran toward the source of the voice.
All the Orcs surrounded the tent, while Sylvanas stood at its entrance. "Old man, you're the only one left now. Surrender quietly."
Darius appeared before Sylvanas without fear and roared, "Gilneas fears nothing! Even if I die, I'll take you with me!" With that, he charged at Sylvanas.
Sylvanas immediately nocked an arrow, drew her bow, aimed, and released in one seamless motion. As the arrow was about to strike Darius, a smile curled onto her lips. A shadow rushed in and slammed Darius aside.
Facing the still-stunned Darius, Alpha said directly, "Get on my back, quickly, boss." Hearing that it was Alpha, Darius swiftly climbed onto his back.
Once he felt the person on his back was secure, Alpha leaped out of the encirclement. His four limbs propelled him forward as he sprinted away, searching for an exit as he ran.
Relying on his speed, Alpha dodged wave after wave of attacks. Relying on his sixth sense, he avoided the archers' shots in advance. He was almost at the gate.
Sylvanas watched as Darius rode that unknown wolf, nimbly evading every attack. Just as they were about to escape through the gate, she fired an arrow into the sky. It traced a perfect arc as it flew toward Alpha beneath Darius.
Just as Alpha reached the entrance to the forest, his ears caught the sound of an arrow tearing through the air. The instant danger surged through him, he tilted his head aside. The arrow slashed across his left cheek, its sharp edge carving a bloody gash into Alpha's face. Alpha plunged into the forest and disappeared from Sylvanas's sight.
Seeing that her arrow had missed, Sylvanas was not discouraged. Instead, her interest was piqued. At that moment, Garrosh spoke. "Chase them. Dead or alive." The Orc wolf riders streamed out, pursuing Alpha in the direction he had fled.
After running an unknown distance through the forest, Alpha suddenly collapsed to the ground, throwing Darius off as well. Darius climbed to his feet, clutching his injured arm as he came to Alpha's side. By then, Alpha had already returned to his Worgen form. He lay on the ground, clutching his left cheek and groaning in pain. The wound on his face had begun to turn black. Not good, the arrow was poisoned. Darius hurriedly pulled out his pack, took out an antidote, and forced Alpha to drink it. He then drew a dagger and cleaned the wound on Alpha's face before briefly tending to his own injury. Once he was done, he hoisted Alpha onto his shoulder with his remaining usable hand and left the area.
A long while later, the Orc wolf riders reached the spot. The giant wolves sniffed the ground, then looked in one direction. "Go, after them," the squad leader said, leading them in pursuit of Alpha and Darius.

Hearing the pursuers drawing closer behind him, Darius quickened his pace as well. "Put me down, Boss Darius. That way, you can make it back alive," Alpha said weakly, having woken up at some point.
Darius immediately cursed when he heard that. "How could I possibly abandon you? This failure was entirely my responsibility. I've already lost four of them. I can't lose you too. Shut up and recover quickly. We're going back alive."
Alpha opened his mouth but said nothing. He knew that once the boss made up his mind, he would never give up.
"There's a river. Great, we can shake them off." Darius was overjoyed. Carrying Alpha, he jumped straight in.
The pursuers arrived soon after and found that the trail had vanished. The squad leader said furiously, "They must have jumped into the river. Search along it. I refuse to believe they'll stay underwater forever." Everyone began searching along the river.
After they left, Darius and Alpha slowly raised their heads out of the water. After confirming there were no pursuers nearby, they hurried in the opposite direction. Breaking through the Horde's search now was not very realistic. It would be better to recover first, then launch a surprise attack. But they needed to find a way to notify Greymane.
In the end, Darius and Alpha decided to rest in a cave near the Horde outpost. The most dangerous place was the safest place. As for how to contact Greymane, Darius said it was simple. He took out a whistle and suddenly blew it under Alpha's puzzled gaze.
As expected, the whistle made no sound. Rather, it made no sound at all. Seeing Alpha's confusion, Darius said proudly, "This was invented back in Gilneas. This whistle has a special frequency that only it can hear." Looking at the raven that flew in, Darius continued, "This is a Gilneas raven. I brought it with me in case of an emergency. I never thought I'd actually need it." After confirming the message, he gently stroked the raven's head, spoke a few words to it, and released it.
Watching the raven fly away, Alpha finally could not hold on any longer and fainted.
