Shane agreed to visit him at an appropriate time.
"How about seven days from now? I have something to show you." The corners of his mouth twitched into an awkward smile, but it was a sincere one.
"I'll wait for your notice on the exact time."
Shane could keenly sense whether someone bore hostility or goodwill toward him, and he gladly accepted the invitation.
Although Kel'Thuzad was isolated in Dalaran, his knowledge was truly insightful. There were three main approaches to levitation technology: anti-gravity acceleration, altering the laws of gravity, and spatial rearrangement. They corresponded to the three major schools: the Evocation School, the Transmutation School, and the Conjuration School.
But if Shane had to choose, he would have chosen the Transmutation School's approach just like Kel'Thuzad, because stability outweighed everything else. Any magical technique without stability was no less dangerous to use than sitting on a bomb while rubbing out fireballs.
Even so, there was still a mountain of practical problems to solve. The materials for constructing the spell rings needed to possess sufficient strength to support their own structure, resistance to high-energy radiation, and highly sensitive magical detection properties.
"I obtained a metal from the north. Its magical properties meet all the requirements."
Recalling Kel'Thuzad's words, Shane made his way to Dalaran's mineral market and entered the largest shop he could find.
"What can I do for you, Lecturer?" The clerk who came to greet him was an apprentice. Seeing the Violet badge on Shane's chest, he treated him with great respect.
"Do you have any metals from the north?" Shane asked directly. With his memory, a single glance told him that the shelves held none of the goods he needed.
The clerk froze for a moment, then said that all merchandise from the north had already sold
