For some time afterward,

life in Zutona was very peaceful.

Although they had dispatched a large number of troops and trolls into the desert, the journey was long. It would take at least a month before any results came back.

Zutona's own development also proceeded in an orderly yet rapid fashion under Tonatiuh's planning and Zangar's leadership.

The first priority was farming.

Zutona had its own unique crop: Light Fungus. It could grow rapidly anywhere there was light, developing in around ten days from tiny, invisible spores into enormous mushrooms as large as a troll's head.

Harvested and roasted dry, it could serve as a staple food. It was extremely high in starch and tasted much like the bread popular among humans.

If it was sliced instead of roasted dry, it made a decent vegetable. The smaller mushrooms that had only been growing for a few days and had not fully matured tasted even fresher and more delicious.

The trolls of Zutona planted these mushrooms in an even larger tract of land behind the city, which Tonatiuh had marked out. Elderly trolls who could no longer fight and young trolls who were not yet able to fight were responsible for tending them.

They also had Bloodpetals helping them. After basking in the Eternal Statue's radiance for a year, these biological elementals had gradually developed new talents and abilities. They seemed able to accelerate the growth of plants in the areas where they lived.

Tonatiuh simply sent the young Bloodpetals with little combat ability to help the farmers work the fields.

More than a thousand trolls and three hundred young Bloodpetals worked the farms. Yet despite such limited manpower, the mushrooms' natural traits and Un'Goro Crater's unique climate produced an astonishing yield!
