Windrunner Three Siblings

Sylvanas rode a pristine white Quel'Thalas hawkstrider, her younger sister and brother following behind as they slowly approached the Sun King Gate.

Silvermoon City's gate was called the Sun King Gate. At its entrance stood a massive statue of the former king Dath'Remar. Countless statues of every kind also lined the walls of this city of magic, most depicting renowned heroes, mages, and former kings from High Elf history.

To be honest, some senior scholars of Azeroth believed that the High Elves liked to name their sources of power after the "sun" to emphasize their severance from nocturnal life. Thus, it seemed rather strange for their capital to bear the name of the "moon"—the sun-worshipping High Elves had named their most important city Silvermoon City.

Why the High Elves had chosen this name instead of one involving the sun was unknown. Some scholars and High Elves speculated that when Dath'Remar built the city, he still grieved over abandoning his former way of life, so he had kept this one thing to remind his people not to forget where they came from.

Aside from their language and certain architectural styles, the name of their capital was the only remaining trace of the High Elves' past life.

Like most Quel'Thalas architecture, Silvermoon City was heavily influenced by Highborne Art Nouveau.

In this extravagant city, magic and nature blended together. Open-air courtyards carpeted with lawns and ornamental flower beds could be seen everywhere, many of them shaped by magic into impossible forms.

The city favored gold, white, and red, and that had never changed in seven thousand years.

All High Elves loved this city, and all High Elves loved their nation.

At least, that was how it was now.
