Having been the Troll King for several years, Tonatiuh believed he had gained a sufficiently deep understanding of Trolls as a people—their racial nature, individual personalities, physiology, psychology, and so on.
Trolls were a race that often produced warriors willing to die generously. For their tribes, clans, or Loa, many Trolls were willing to give their lives.
But such sacrifice was merely a manifestation of fearlessness in the face of death. The New Hakkari Trolls currently fighting the Zaun allied army had gone beyond simply not fearing death.
They were crazily rushing forward to kill themselves!
That was right—suicide!
When Trolls who feared no death and were willing to sacrifice themselves charged into battle, they generally sought to trade wounds for wounds, using their own lives to take as many enemy lives as possible.
But from Tonatiuh's observations, these New Hakkari Trolls were not like that. They were not trying to exchange their lives for more enemy lives.
They charged forward and slashed at the enemy with their weapons—it did not matter whether they hit. What mattered was that the enemy's attack could kill them in a single blow!
Trolls willing to sacrifice themselves would at most trade wounds for wounds, wounds for lives, or one life for several enemy lives. But these New Hakkari Trolls were not trading lives with the enemy. They were offering up their own lives!
Just as Tonatiuh saw, a New Hakkari raptor rider charged forward. A raptor rider from the allied army beside him immediately met the charge, wielding a metal greatblade he had acquired from somewhere and cleaving at the Hakkari.
The Hakkari raptor rider merely gave a casual thrust with his spear, which had a metal spearhead. He did not care whether he struck the enemy. Instead, he moved his own neck
