Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch returned to their base, where they kept discussing Black Lantern Quicksilver's abilities and the way he had been resurrected. For Scarlet Witch, Black Lantern Quicksilver's appearance was not entirely a bad thing. It felt as though she had been looking into her own brother's eyes.

"I don't understand how he was revived. You could say there isn't any equipment capable of bringing your brother..." Hawkeye set down his cup. He was looking at Scarlet Witch and was about to continue when Black Panther, walking over from behind them, interrupted him.

Black Panther wore a skintight black suit made of Vibranium, with exceptionally strong defenses. Despite being made of Vibranium, it was remarkably flexible and fit Black Panther's physique perfectly.

He had just returned from training when he heard Hawkeye's words. He refuted him, "I think the Infinity Stones can revive people. After all, no one can fathom the full extent of their power. So there's no point discussing useless things. We should figure out how to deal with this problem instead. Quicksilver is a problem now. I don't care what kind of relationship he had with you before. All I know is that he's an enemy now. We can't let our guard down."

"I used my powers to sense my brother's thoughts, but all I saw was darkness—not even a trace of light. Not even space is that dark. It gave me the feeling that he was... already dead."

"First, don't call Quicksilver your brother. From now on, he is Quicksilver, and your relationship with him is that of enemies. Otherwise, you might hold back at a critical moment. Of course, I'm not saying you truly would." Black Panther shook his head. He did not want Scarlet Witch to let this matter interfere with the battle.

Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch had come here to find Captain America. He lived here, protecting Winter Soldier. Their real base was not here; not even Iron Man knew where it was.

They had come hoping to have a proper talk with Captain America about Quicksilver, because Hawkeye suspected Quicksilver was trying to pick them off one by one. That made things rather troublesome.

They could not mobilize everyone, but neither could they sit around and wait for death.

Black Panther looked at the silent Scarlet Witch and said, "I know what it feels like when a loved one dies and then comes back to life. I know how painful it is. So you could say I'm the one who understands you best right now."

"No, you only understand what it feels like when a loved one dies." Scarlet Witch covered her eyes with her hand. If only I'd discovered Ultron's scheme sooner. If Scarlet Witch had discovered it earlier, none of this would have happened.

She blamed herself for everything, and the pressure on Scarlet Witch was immense.

Black Panther placed a hand on Scarlet Witch's left shoulder and sighed. "There are some things you don't need to know, but I want to tell you this: I understand you. Our situations really are somewhat similar. Believe me."

Scarlet Witch said nothing. She knew Black Panther was not the kind of person who lied, nor would he lie just to comfort someone. Since he had said this, he must have had his reasons. That was what Scarlet Witch thought. She looked at Black Panther and nodded, indicating that she was fine.

"The captain will be here soon. Wait a moment. Something unexpected happened during training just now." Black Panther removed his helmet, then said apologetically, "Honestly, we should get the captain's shield back as soon as possible."

"We're negotiating that," Hawkeye said. "The moment the captain put down his shield, he became himself. He isn't the captain he used to be."

"But to me, he's still the captain he used to be." Black Panther sat down and instructed an attendant to prepare some drinks.

"Wakanda has already been exposed to the public eye. I imagine quite a few people have come looking to do business with you." Hawkeye was rather curious about the Kingdom of Wakanda. He wanted to know how Wakanda operated. After all, Wakanda was no longer what it used to be.

Black Panther shook his head, looking troubled. "Business matters are indeed rather difficult. I didn't inherit my father's talent for trade. I call it talent, though of course I do understand a little."

"So you handed Wakanda's affairs over to someone else?"

"Yes, someone I trust deeply."

At that moment, a sturdy figure slowly entered through the main doors. The man seemed somewhat lonely, carrying an air of calm steadiness. Even before they could see him clearly, Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch knew he was Captain America.

"Captain."

"Long time no see."

Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch rose from their seats. They saw claw marks on Captain America's face. They clearly had not been left by Black Panther, but by some more ferocious animal.

Captain America wiped the sweat from his face with a damp towel. His eyes were blue like a clear sky without clouds. Rogers looked at Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch and said with a smile, "I have to say, I'm glad to see you, even if I look rather pathetic right now. Ha ha. How's the situation with Quicksilver?"

Clearly, Captain America had already known that they had fought Black Lantern Quicksilver. At that moment, he wanted to know what kind of monster his former comrade had become.

"That's why we came. After all, coming back from the dead is simply too..." Hawkeye suddenly did not know what word to use. He was momentarily at a loss for words.

"You mean it's too horrifying, right?" Black Panther handed the captain a cup of water and said, "And somewhat unbelievable. But I believe the horror outweighs the disbelief in your heart."

Scarlet Witch nodded. She really had felt as though she had seen a ghost. Thinking of Black Lantern Quicksilver's state at the time, she said, "He seemed just like himself, except far more brutal. His mind seemed filled with all sorts of unimaginable thoughts, but his goal was probably to eliminate us."

"He has already killed around one hundred and twenty-one people. I can hardly believe such a terrifying number." Hawkeye gritted his teeth in hatred as he spoke.

How Hawkeye wished he could have arrived even a second sooner. Then he could have saved more people. Captain America saw the self-reproach on Hawkeye's face and comforted him, "This isn't your fault. All we can do is reduce the casualties and stop him."

"Far from enough. I think we need to find out exactly how he was revived." Black Panther drank his water and looked at everyone present, his eyes filled with intense curiosity. Though he had heard stories of the dead returning to life, he did not know how it could be done.

Captain America nodded and added, "That's right. We need to find out, then prevent this from happening again. One revived person has already given us enough trouble. It would be one thing if he had revived the real Quicksilver, but reviving him into this? No one could stand it. It's practically an insult to Quicksilver."
