Background / History

Adam spent thirteen years in the Holy Sound Kingdom after reincarnating there as a werewolf. As a nonhuman in a state hostile to aberrants, he lives with persistent fear of discovery and seeks passage across the border into the Loken Kingdom, where nonhumans have better prospects for survival 1 2.

He entered Roa under the identity of Adam Boku, a boy who had traveled to seek refuge with his uncle after losing his parents. The real Adam was murdered by bandits; after witnessing this, Adam avenged him, eliminated the remaining witnesses, and assumed his identity to gain a secure place in the Boku household 1.

While maintaining the identity of a commoner and painter’s apprentice, Adam infiltrated the Southern District Church through Priest Fula. He used the Church’s books, priests, and training opportunities to study theology, rituals, social structures, and supernatural power while concealing his werewolf nature 2 5 7.

Adam later subdued the blood thrall Adel through calculated intimidation. Using Adel’s fear and the promise of the Tears of God Ritual, he gained access to Roa’s hidden aberrant community and began building influence among its members 11 19.

His bloodline reached maturity during a full moon, forcing him into a confrontation with Jin. The battle awakened Soul Weight and revealed Adam’s connection to the Trinder werewolf family; afterward, Jin accepted him as a student 21 24.
