After raising it to the Thousand Year level in the Spirit Ascension Platform, he traveled with Xu Shengqun to Shrek City to take the entrance examination.

• After Xu Zhi was declared executed and the family villa was reclaimed, Xu Shengqun took Xu Yuan to Skysea City, where Xu Yuan awakened his mother's Heaven Origin Brush and revealed his second Martial Soul, a brain.
• Xu Shengqun arranged for Xu Yuan to study under Mu Ye, who recognized his exceptional potential and strengthened his foundation while Xu Yuan trained in forging and explored his Martial Soul.
• Zhen Hua revealed that Xu Zhi's research into the Soul Spirit Cultivation Method had threatened the Qian Gu Family's interests, and Xu Yuan vowed to complete his father's work.

After gaining a Dream Demon Soul Spirit and strengthening the fusion, he prepared to ascend it at the Spirit Pagoda.

• Xu Yuan passed Shrek’s Special Recruitment Exam with full marks in most assessments and entered the Inner Courtyard alongside Xu Lizhi and Ye Xinglan.
• Xu Yuan joined several Sub-Profession associations and studied devouring-type Meditation Methods and Ji Juechen’s records while planning to separate his Heaven Origin Brush and Heaven Origin Spear.

The arc ended with Xu Yuan hunting in the Spirit Ascension Platform as a Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear attacked Wu Zhangkong and the Zero Class students.

• Xu Yuan raised his Dream Demon Soul Spirit to around fifteen hundred years in the Intermediate Spirit Ascension Platform, then Mu Ye taught him the Body Sect’s Qi and Blood Furnace Method.
• Xu Yuan passed Shen Yi’s individual and team assessments, advanced three mecha-related Sub-Professions to third grade, and completed his first Thousand Refinement.
• Shen Yi brought Xu Yuan, Xu Lizhi, and Ye Xinglan to the Skysea Alliance tournament, where Xu Yuan’s team defeated Tianhai Academy’s previous Youth Group champions in one minute.

Xu Yuan forged a new spear, advanced his cultivation, and contracted a rare Phantom Shadow Beast as a Soul Spirit while continuing to study Star Power. The arc ended with Tang Wulin and Zero Class facing the consequences of their missed assessment as Yun Ming sent Xu Yuan, Xu Lizhi, and Ye Xinglan to gain experience in the Outer Courtyard.

• Xu Yuan killed a Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear, absorbed its right palm bone, and fused the Dark Gold Terror Claw into his Heaven Origin Five Elements Spear with Tang Wulin’s help.
• Xu Yuan earned Fourth Grade Forging Master certification, learned clues about his parents’ fate, and began work on a custom Mecha designed by Yu Yang.
• After a year of training, Xu Yuan demonstrated his spear techniques to Yun Ming, who agreed to teach him the Later Three Absolutes.
