Kamuro is first seen secretly taking a bottled drink from a convenience store and concealing it in her uniform pocket. Kiryu Yume witnesses the theft and uses it to blackmail her into accepting him as her “son,” making her his first recognized mother under the Mom-Recognition System. 5 6

Sakayanagi Arisu obtains video evidence of the incident and confronts Yume with Masumi at the school gate. Sakayanagi establishes that Yume should call her “Masumi,” while Masumi calls him “Kiryu,” without honorifics. Although Masumi does not openly object, she remains distant and unreadable. 6
