Background

Lin Wei is a prodigy of the influential Lin Family, one of Dragon Nation's foremost martial arts families. Though her family possesses numerous God of War-level martial artists, its members were initially reluctant to allow women to pursue martial cultivation. Lin Wei persisted because of her exceptional talent and ultimately mastered two combat techniques to the perfected level. 26

She chose Xinhang Martial University over Kyoto Martial University to avoid being kept close to home or potentially forced to return. With help from Yang Tianlong, whom she calls “Uncle Yang Tianlong,” she enrolled at Xinhang and sought to establish herself independently. 26

Lin Wei is intensely competitive and dislikes yielding to other martial artists. On learning that Chu Wen had taken the rank she wanted in the Dragonspine Corridor trial, her friendly expression immediately turned hostile, and she pursued him to challenge his position. 25 26

Despite her impulsiveness, she is resilient under pressure. She continues fighting during the Lakeheart Island beast tide until exhaustion slows her movements, then experiences the consequences of combat firsthand after suffering a serious arm injury. 34 35

She is unwavering about pursuing martial arts. Zhao Qian worries that Lin Wei is sacrificing her well-being, but Lin Wei insists that she cannot waste the talent she possesses. 43

Dragonspine Corridor Trial

Lin Wei arrives at the ninety-ninth pavilion after secretly entering the trial to demonstrate her ability. She becomes furious when she learns that Chu Wen has taken the rank she wanted, chases him toward the Hundred Corridor Pillars, and attacks him with Thunder Whips. She withdraws after three exchanges because she cannot sustain her aura against the corridor's pressure. 25 26

Netherworld Lake Practical Training

Lin Wei joins Chu Wen and Chen Dai under Rox's supervision for practical training at Netherworld Lake. When Chu Wen collapses from overexertion on Lakeheart Island, she fights demon beasts with her twin halberds to protect him, but eventually reaches her own limit. 28 31 34

After Chu Wen recovers and clears the beast tide, Lin Wei carries the unconscious Chen Dai while escaping the island. She suffers an arm injury and later reflects guiltily on the danger her presence created for the team. 35 36

Recovery and Arena Period

Following her recovery, Lin Wei spars with Chu Wen in the martial arts room but is defeated by the overwhelming strength of his Chaos Combat Method. She remains determined to train and enters the Arena Battle despite not yet being fully back at peak condition. 38 43
