Orochimaru naturally understood every word Uchiha Yato had said. Of course, he grasped the meaning behind them.
However, as a calm and rational researcher, Orochimaru would never readily put himself in the position of a lab rat.
That said, Orochimaru harbored an indescribable fascination with such unknown things.
That fascination did not stem from fear of the unknown, but from a desire to explore new knowledge and curiosity toward uncharted fields.
Thus, Orochimaru was deeply conflicted and torn at this moment.
On one hand, he wanted to follow Uchiha Yato to his world and lift the veil over the unknown. On the other, he worried about the risks and uncertainties that might be lurking within.
"Yato-kun, the experiment is still in an unstable stage. Have you really decided to risk going back?" A trace of concern and an indescribable emotion colored Orochimaru's voice.
"Besides, according to your plan, all of us are on your list of people to take away. There's probably no need to rush this."
Orochimaru steadied himself somewhat and began using his clever mind to consider how he could draw more information out of Uchiha Yato.
To his surprise, after hearing Orochimaru's words, Uchiha Yato merely curled his lip.
"Don't play these fake little games. Aren't you just afraid that once you get to my territory, you won't be able to get out?"
"If I were really that kind of person, then the two Orochimarus in my world wouldn't have gained immortality and my support."
As he said this, Uchiha Yato looked at Orochimaru before him and continued.
"As for you, you brought this upon yourself."
"An Orochimaru who has indirectly caused the deaths of so many people really needs to temper his character. After all, my world won't allow you to obtain test subjects like this."
