Each cry struck Obito's heart like a heavy hammer. He suddenly opened his eyes, only to find himself surrounded by darkness, with suffocating fog filling the air around him.
Obito's mind was in chaos. Where were these voices coming from?
He tried desperately to remember, but his head felt as though it were splitting apart, as countless fragments of memory crashed wildly through his mind.
Suddenly, a flash of light streaked past, and scene after scene appeared before Obito's eyes.
It was a life he had never lived, yet it felt so real that he seemed to be there himself.
In those scenes, he saw the person he loved most—Rin—being driven into a corner by enemies, while he was powerless to do anything but watch her leave him.
Obito's face turned deathly pale. He could not accept such an ending.
He ran desperately, trying to save Rin, but his legs felt as heavy as lead. No matter what he did, he could not take a single step.
"No! I can't give up like this!" Obito roared inwardly. Gathering every ounce of his strength, he finally broke free of that invisible restraint and sprinted madly toward Rin.
However, just as he was about to reach her, a massive chasm suddenly opened before him, completely separating him from Rin.
Obito stared at the chasm before him in despair. He knew this was a trap Sparkle had set for him. No matter how hard he tried, he would never be able to cross it.
"This time, I absolutely won't let tragedy happen!" Obito clenched his fists tightly, his eyes bloodshot. "Please believe in me, Rin!"
