Inside Konoha Orphanage.
A child was diligently writing in his diary.
He did not know when he had developed this habit of recording his thoughts each day, nor did he understand what had prompted him to do so.
May 1st, sunny, not a cloud in the sky.
Today, the orphanage's peace was shattered by an uninvited guest.
A bespectacled stranger who appeared gentle and refined suddenly showed up at the orphanage entrance.
His appearance surprised me, because I had never seen anyone like him in Konoha.
Although this man looked cultured and polite, for some reason, he gave me an indescribable sense of discomfort.
He seemed to have appeared out of thin air, leaving everyone baffled. I had no way of verifying his origins.
What was even stranger was that after "watching" the orphanage for a day or two, he actually walked right in and sought out the director.
He said he hoped to become a teacher at the orphanage and use his knowledge and skills to teach the children more abilities.
Director Nonō was delighted to learn that someone was willing to help care for the orphans.
After all, the orphanage had limited resources, and having one more teacher was undoubtedly a good thing for the children.
Everyone welcomed the man's arrival, but I alone continued to feel that something was wrong.
I could not help but question this man's true purpose. Why had he suddenly appeared here?
Did he truly just want to help these children?
Or was he hiding some unspeakable secret?
Countless questions lingered in my mind, making me wary of this stranger.
Although everyone welcomed him, I decided to keep a closer eye on him and see whether he really was, as he claimed, a purely kind-hearted person.
