## Raikage VS Kushina ##

The two charged at each other.

As the Raikage approached Kushina, he attacked with his elbow. Kushina nimbly dodged, struck the Raikage's chin upward with her sword hilt, then kicked him in the chest, sending him flying.

"Dragon Submergence!" Kushina said, pointing her sword at the Raikage. She charged her body with energy, then rushed at the Raikage at incredible speed. But as one of the fastest men alive, the Raikage barely managed to block it.

Seeing Kushina so close, the Raikage charged at her and said:

"Whirling Strike!" He tried to strike Kushina's neck with his right arm. Kushina simply bent backward, letting his arm pass over her head.

She leaped into the air, using the Raikage's arm as support as she trapped his head between her legs. She leaned down, bracing both hands against the ground, then slammed the Raikage into the earth with all her strength.

"Enough," the Raikage said. His chakra surged, and his body was enveloped in blue lightning. This was the Raikage's most powerful technique, the Lightning Release Chakra Armor.

Kushina began to focus.

"Wind Release Armor," Kushina said. By surrounding her body with wind chakra, she could reduce air resistance and increase her overall speed. However, this technique did not protect her the way the Raikage's did.

The Raikage vanished in an instant and appeared directly above Kushina.

"Guillotine Drop," the Raikage said, attempting to bring his foot down on Kushina.

Thanks to her Wind Release Armor, Kushina swiftly jumped away.

"Wind Blade!" Kushina said as she suddenly appeared beside the Raikage. Channeling wind chakra through her sword, she swung horizontally. The Raikage quickly ducked, and the blade passed over his head, cutting off several strands of hair.

The Raikage quickly recovered and jumped away. When he landed, he noticed several drops of blood falling to the ground.

Even with my Lightning Release Chakra Armor, she still managed to hurt me, the Raikage thought.

Kushina turned into smoke and vanished. He looked around, only to see Kushina appear beside him, trying to slash across his chest. The Raikage quickly grabbed the blade and kicked Kushina in the chest, sending her rolling across the ground.

The Raikage had to end this battle quickly and help the others. He focused, pushing his Lightning Release Chakra Armor to its maximum. It shone even brighter, and his hair became sharper.

Kushina looked at him, then suddenly vanished. Before she even had time to blink, the Raikage appeared beside her. He grabbed her by the waist and said:

"Liger Bomb!"

Then he slammed her into the ground, tearing her apart completely and blasting the earth into fragments.

The Raikage jumped back, smiling victoriously, until he noticed Kushina's body reassembling itself. A few seconds later, she stood before him as if nothing had happened.

Damn Impure World Reincarnation, the Raikage thought.

Kushina stepped forward and placed her hand on the ground, touching the Raikage's blood.

Kushina rapidly formed hand seals, then slammed both hands onto the ground.

"Sealing Technique: Gravity Well!"

The Raikage raised an eyebrow in confusion, but when he saw Kushina activate the seal, he nearly fell over. The gravity in that area had increased nearly fivefold.

She's trying to slow me down... clever, the Raikage thought.

"Infinite Blades!" Kushina shouted, then vanished from sight.

Suddenly, blood burst from the Raikage's skin, revealing shallow cuts all over his body.

The Raikage bent over in pain, but wounds like these would not slow him down.

"Lightning Straight!" the Raikage said, then charged directly at Kushina with his fist raised.

The only person who had ever taken this attack was Kushina's husband, Minato Namikaze. But because of the gravity field, the Raikage was slower, and Kushina easily dodged.

"Enough!" the Raikage roared. He jumped into the air, then drove his foot into the ground, vaporizing the surrounding tiles and completely destroying the sealing array.

At that moment, everyone heard a scream coming from the center of the arena.

Shukaku was screaming in pain there, his chakra being suppressed.

"This chakra... it's Shukaku," Tobirama said, as one of the most gifted sensors in history.

"Without a doubt," the First Hokage replied.

"It seems Naruto succeeded," Jiraiya said. The old Hokage nodded.

"What do you mean, 'Naruto succeeded'?" Kushina asked sweetly, making every man swallow nervously. "You put my son in front of a tailed beast?"

"Kushina, he chose to face the One-Tail himself," the Hokage tried to reason with her. "Besides, it looks like he won," the Hokage said.

Jiraiya said nothing. He still remembered the beating he had received for trying to peek on her and Minato.

"He's here," Tobirama said. They all noticed a figure approaching the rooftop. Naruto jumped up and easily passed through the barrier.

"How did that brat get through the barrier?" Tayuya shouted.

"How would I know?" Sakon replied.

"Hey, old man, need a hand?" Naruto asked. He looked around and saw Orochimaru's gaze fixed on the red-haired woman.

"Mom," Naruto murmured.

"Naruto!" Kushina said, running toward her son, but Orochimaru forced her to stop. Tears streamed from her eyes.

"You dared to summon my family. You'll pay for it, Orochimaru," Naruto said, activating his Sharingan as it slowly transformed into a Mangekyō Sharingan.

Orochimaru was shocked when he noticed the change in Naruto's eyes. He felt something he had not felt in a long time... fear.

"What is that?" the First Hokage asked, pointing at the fan crest on Naruto's back.

"It's my grandfather's fan crest," Naruto said with a smile. The First and Second Hokages' eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

"Madara had a son?" the First Hokage could not believe what he had heard.

"Yes. You did well at the Valley of the End," Naruto said.

"What?" the First Hokage shouted. "He survived?" he asked. Naruto nodded.

"Isn't that ironic?" Naruto asked. The First Hokage looked confused. "Think about it. Your descendants fell in love," Naruto said.

The First and Second Hokages laughed at the irony, then noticed Naruto's eyes.

"Mangekyō Sharingan?" the Second Hokage asked. "His chakra level is through the roof... comparable to that of a lesser tailed beast. How is that possible...?"

"I can sense the Nine-Tails' chakra within him. It seems he is now the new jinchūriki of a tailed beast," the First Hokage said. The Second Hokage nodded. It made perfect sense.

"I'm glad to see my legacy continue," the First Hokage said.

"Naruto, don't act rashly. They cannot be defeated by ordinary means," the Hokage said.

"I know what Impure World Reincarnation is, Third Grandpa," Naruto said. Kushina was pleased by the affectionate way he addressed the Third.

"How do you know? It's a forbidden technique," the Hokage asked suspiciously.

"Remember when I found Orochimaru's abandoned laboratory?" Naruto asked. The Hokage nodded. "There, I found blood samples and Orochimaru's notebook on Impure World Reincarnation."

"And I can use Impure World Reincarnation too," Naruto said. Everyone's eyes widened.
