Profound Yin Hall operated numerous concealed strongholds in the western outskirts, a region dense with ancient battlefields, mass graves, and stagnant yin earth veins. Its cultivators established Sha Qi-Gathering Soul-Nurturing Formations to nurture souls, refine corpses, and create evil artifacts. The Demon Suppression Bureau had carried out seven major campaigns in the region over thirty years, but the group repeatedly relocated its outer nests. 14 16

Under Wang Defa, the Hall cultivated multiple soul-nurturing sites and prepared a Golden-Armored Baleful Corpse at an ancient battlefield. After its formations were exposed, the Hall attempted to eliminate witnesses and complete the corpse refinement, but Xu Jin killed Elder Ge, the Yin Puppet Master, the Golden-Armored Baleful Corpse, and Wang Defa. At Green-Mud Ferry, the Hall's branch sought to exploit the Han Dynasty Sunk Tomb and its Danding legacy. Altar Master Zhou planned to refine the living souls of three shoreline villages during the new moon, use the Yin-Shedding Corpse Demon as an anchor for a Yin Domain, and advance through the Danding Yin Art.
