In truth, the Draenei had retreated halfway through their pursuit of the Horde not because they had detected Kil'jaeden's ambush. Ye Ting and Yrel had no such godlike abilities.
They had decided to withdraw simply because they had to consider the army's energy reserves.
According to Ye Ting's design, whether it was the Draenei's armor and weapons or the [Immortals], the Arkenite Crystals that powered them could receive a constant supply of energy while within the Crystal Tower's range. Until the Crystal Tower failed, their energy was effectively unlimited.
Under those circumstances, the Draenei warriors could freely expend their energy shields, and the [Immortals] could unleash their full firepower without concern for consumption. That was when the entire army was at its strongest.
However, the Crystal Tower's coverage was limited. Pursuing the enemy inevitably meant leaving its energy supply range.
In that situation, they had no choice but to control their energy consumption and naturally could not pursue too far. After all, the force that had warped to Shattrath numbered only a little over a thousand, while the Orcs outnumbered them ten to one.
If their combat strength could not utterly overwhelm the enemy, then should some accident drag the battle into a war of attrition, their own side would instead suffer a crushing blow from insufficient energy.
To avoid any unforeseen incident, Yrel had cautiously abandoned the pursuit.
And so, by sheer coincidence, they escaped disaster.
Yrel herself had no idea. Though she had also personally come to Shattrath through the Crystal Tower, as the commander, she had not even appeared on the front lines. She had merely supervised and directed the battle from the rear.
With K'ara present, the Balance Faction Draenei at least found command much more convenient.
As the troops gradually returned to Shattrath, Yrel, Ye
