According to reports from the trackers, the repeated defeats at the Battle of Shattrath had severely damaged the prestige of Horde Warchief Blackhand and Gul'dan, who stood behind him. Many Horde chieftains had begun questioning their capabilities.
If not for the demons, Blackhand's rule would have been overthrown long ago.
Even so, the Horde had fallen into chaos. Blackhand naturally needed to produce some results as soon as possible; otherwise, the Horde could never be held together.
