With the end of the Second Battle of Shattrath, the Draenei underwent a massive internal shift in power. At last, the new Draenei, led by Yrel and founded upon the Path of Balance, had finally begun developing along the right track.
With the formation of the new Council of Exarchs, the Draenei's new organizational structure was established as well. This race, which possessed two cities, a population of over two hundred thousand, and occupied half of Talador, began rumbling into motion like a vast, tightly organized machine.
Having suffered a crushing defeat, the Horde forces no longer dared return to Talador before they had the strength to defeat the Draenei head-on again—at least, they did not dare approach Auchindoun or Shattrath. This gave the Draenei, who had been trapped within their twin cities for months, a chance to catch their breath.
The Draenei, who had previously been able only to hide in their cities and deplete their stockpiles, finally had the chance to leave the cities, reclaim Talador's mines, forests, and plains... and resume the production of basic supplies and raw materials.
Food, ore, timber... Talador's abundant resources had always provided the Draenei with a steady stream of raw materials and strategic supplies. Yet the Draenei of the past had lived leisurely, pastoral lives. Longing for peace, they had rarely possessed great ambitions and had never demanded much from such resources.
