Background / History

Gu Yuena is the Silver Dragon King, a Soul Beast sovereign who once lived in the Land of Great Evil within the Star Dou Forest's core region. She explains that she was besieged by gods from the Divine Realm before Lu Chen saved her. 41

Lu Chen encounters her in a wounded human form and heals the injury on her back by reversing time with the Time Gem. He then brings her out of the Land of Great Evil, helps her conceal her distinctive Dragon King aura, obtains an identity certificate for her, and enrolls her at Nuoding City Junior Soul Master Academy. 30

Before enrolling her, Lu Chen alters and erases parts of her memories with the Mind Gem. Her resulting memories contain no one besides Lu Chen, making her intensely dependent on him and leading her to address him as “Brother.” 30 Her altered mental state is described as childlike, despite her true identity and immense power. 40

At the academy, Gu Yuena lives alongside Lu Chen, Xiao Wu, and Tang San. She later reveals her true identity to Xiao Wu, demonstrating her Silver Dragon King form and joining Lu Chen in promising to protect Xiao Wu from anyone seeking her Soul Beast identity or Soul Ring. 41
