Uchiha Yi snorted. "It doesn't matter if you refuse to accept it. When the assessment starts, you'll see the gap between us."
Several figures slowly approached from afar.
Walking at the front was the supervising teacher for this assessment.
Uchiha Yi glanced over, and the smile on his face grew wider.
He whispered to his companion, "Just watch. First place this time will definitely be mine."
Before his companion could agree, a voice suddenly came from nearby. "Heh, you still dreaming?"
Uchiha Yi's smile froze as he whipped around.
The speaker leaned lazily against a tree, his face full of mocking contempt. "What did you say?" Uchiha Yi narrowed his eyes.
The man shrugged. "I said you think too highly of yourself. So what if you're an Uchiha? It's not like you're the only one with the Uchiha name."
The atmosphere around them instantly tightened.
Uchiha Yi stared at the man, his fingers slowly curling. "What's your name?"
"What, planning to hold a grudge?"
"I have no interest in knowing a loser's name. But you can remember this: the person who defeats you today is Uchiha Yi."
The man grinned and took two steps forward. "Sure. Let's try it, then."
The supervising teacher spoke at just the right moment. "Enough. Quiet down."
Everyone immediately fell silent.
The teacher swept his gaze over the crowd before finally looking at Uchiha Yi. His expression remained calm. "The assessment is about to begin. Stop wasting time here."
Uchiha Yi took a deep breath and suppressed his anger.
He put his smile back on and shot the man a provocative look. "Just wait."
By the middle of the assessment, Uchiha Yi's expression had already changed.
He had thought he would be the center of attention, but now every gaze was fixed on someone else.
